2016-melton

We always thought, that in times past, London was the centre of the world, but times change and civilisations move on, and now Leicester is the the centre of the world. The very successful Melton Mowbray Cheese Festival, (nearly Leicester), held this weekend, ran their first cheese awards, and Old Winchester starts a new season by winning the Hard Cheese class. For those happy people who queued up to buy our cheese, you can replenish your stocks from Sherwins Cheese Bar in Leicester Mkt and the Melton Mowbray cheese shop. A bit further away, in Bawtry, Doncaster, the The Cheese Cave is also a new cheese shop, now stocking our cheese.
This was closely followed by the very unlikely winners of England’s top football division, Leicester City running away with the Championship, brilliant result, we all love the underdog, and then Mark Selby winning the snooker. With Richard III now re-interned, in this now great City, rumours of the Queen, happy birthday Ma’am, moving Buckingham Palace, are premature.
