Well, there is another year gone and into the history books. To the right the winter sun sets on the reservoir, that was not yet full but the beginning of January soon changed that, there is about 5 million gallons in there and that is enough to keep the veg going all summer. For us a good year, some great veg yields and a summer temperature that kept the market strong so that every thing was sold, just a few grey pumpkin left and they will go in the next two months. The demand for cheese was more than we could supply, but we hope to have resolved that by about May when new supplies of Old Winchester become available. Sales of our surplus raw milk have been a disaster, but we are not alone, that said that is why we make cheese, next years crop on the way, Broad beans looking about right for the beginning of January.
