FARM TOURS
Lyburn Farm Tours 2023.
Well that’s it for this year, all done and dusted, we have had 5 great evenings, avoided the rain by more luck than judgement, and we will let you know who the charity’s we have supported this time a bit later.
Dates for next year wont be posted until mid January, and there are a few groups who missed out this year and will get the first opportunity for 2024.
This is a video clip from 2019
We do get a number of requests for May and June, but the weather is too unpredictable and there is not a lot to see in the fields. We are not able to offer tours inside the cheese plant, however we do, on occasions auction a cheese making experience for charity, but there are none at the moment.
All days are 6.30pm for 6.45 start.
Price has gone up to £15 and the profit goes to charity.
Maximum booking is 35.
To book, call 01794 399982 weekdays, or email lyburncheese@hotmail.com
The tours will all be part of the Hampshire Food Festival
when the dates are announced.
The itinerary is a tractor and trailer ride around the farm which takes approximately 1 1/2 hours and on the way we look at the issues of organic vegetables, visit the reservoir, the pumpkin fields, the cows, return to the farm to hear a bit about the cheese, and then sit down to a cheese supper, all for the price of £15, children half price £7. This can be a little bumpy so for those of you who think it might be a bit much, you are quite welcome to come, just for the supper. You will need to wear jeans and jackets, and you are entirely responsible for the weather, we never cancel due to rain, you can get wet, and on occasions, very wet, you have been warned!
